Ribatejo gastronomy reflects the countryside tradition and the influence of the river. The ingredients, their quality and their "homemade” cooking method, makes each dish something exceptional.
With regard to wine, the Tagus Region is in its own right one of the oldest wine producing regions in the country. Currently composed of a total of 17 thousand hectares that annually produce about 650 thousand hectoliters which represents about 10% of the national total.
